It was a hot sunny day in Glamis back in March 2022. Peg was short. Alex was tall. They both dreamed of this wild adventure called the Rebelle Rally. During 7 days of driving and navigation, laughter and stories were shared between swigs of water and stressing over finding checkpoints, and a friendship was born. Between Rebelle Rallys, off-road adventures, and trainings, Alex and Peg have shared numerous adventures. Now they're adding Trinite Rally teammates to their resumes.

I work in the software technical space where I focus on emerging technologies: large-scale cloud, networking, and AI initiatives. These are complex systems requiring a rigorous analytical approach to problem solving. The challenges require high-performance teams working together -- there is always a lot of learning and fun as solutions evolve.

Fun Fact

Participated in fundraising for Friends of Thai Daughters as part of a bicycle ride in Thailand last year. The journey showed me some great roads for an overland trip.

Cars for every adventure -- there is always more than one! This week I will be driving my dream car -- a 2006 Porsche Cayenne -- modified for off-road adventures.

Project Manager. Mostly it’s herding feral cats, but it’s taught me a lot about how to hold your ground and adapt to personalities to meet common goals.

Car Memory

I was an avid equestrian until my early 20s. Driving a truck and trailer was something I learned early. During one of my first solo trips to a competition, trailer in tow, I pulled in for gas quickly finding I forgot which side had the fuel cap. I backed up the trailer, swung around and was back on track. When I went in to pay, the attendant complimented my skills.

I can bake a souffle. Chocolate is preferred.

Dream Car

Something with zoomies and long travel. I love the Total Chaos Tundra. Having something similar is a dream.

Objectives

Have fun and try something new. I always go in wanting to be competitive. With the Trinitē the special part will be being able to have a part in the initial rally. You don't get many opportunities in life to say you were one of the first to do something. This is one of those special moments.

Greatest Adventure

Hiking in the Peruvian Andes. I always loved the mountains, the Andes were breathtaking. I was able to go when I was 18 and I’m grateful for that experience every day.
